Sections 24-52 of the Garg Samhita mention that the Ramghat\/Rajghat area was once ruled by a demon named Kolasur. A nuclear power plant is located here on the Ganges River. In 1955, the late Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant also visited here.<\/p><p>The tomb of Babu Kalyan Singh, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Governor of Rajasthan, is also located in Narora. Narora has been established on the world stage after the foundation stone of the nuclear power centre was laid by late Indira Gandhi in the year 1974.<\/p><p>Narora has gained considerable international recognition due to the installation of two 220-megawatt units and the efficient management of the nuclear power station, which has received numerous awards. Due to the clean environmental management along the banks of the Ganges River in Narora, Various species of migratory birds reside here in large numbers.<\/p><p>A large number of dolphins are also found in the Ganges River. Several endangered species, including the elk and crocodile, have been protected here. The Uttar Pradesh State Government has established the National Conservation Area (NCA) for supplying irrigation to the eastern districts of In 1962, a decision was made to construct a parallel canal to the existing canal in the east. This was completed in 1967. It includes 62 gates to control the entire Ganges River.
